ECA-PR / 01 — The cooperative

A cooperative rooted in Robert-Porte.

Founded in 2012 and export-licensed since 2021, COOP.CA-ECAPR brings together more than 1,500 farmers around a single origin. True to its cooperative model, it reinvests its revenue in its members and in the sustainable development of their territory, notably by building schools, keeping farmers’ children in education and backing initiatives with strong social impact.

Our story

Cocoa with a name and an origin.

COOP.CA-ECAPR brings together more than 1,500 growers around the village of Robert-Porte, 22 km from Soubré. From the family plot to the warehouse, we aggregate, check and export cocoa where every bag is linked to a farmer and a section.

ECA-PR is far more than a cocoa origin: it is a structured farmers’ organisation, licensed to export, that reinvests the value it creates in its members and in the sustainable development of its territory. Sourcing from ECA-PR means choosing a traceable, responsible and meaningful origin rather than an anonymous, undifferentiated lot.

Our objectives
  • 01

    Protecting children

The fight against child labour remains our first priority, on every plot and in every section.

  • 02

    Collecting and selling

Aggregating our members’ output, checking it and selling it on terms that are fair and transparent for the buyer and the grower alike.

  • 03

    Improving living conditions

Durably raising the income of our members and their families, with the ambition of securing them a stable, lasting standard of living based on international Living Wage benchmarks.

  • 04

    Developing communities

Rolling out an ambitious five-year community development plan (schools, boreholes, feeder roads, input distribution).

Our vision

Consolidating our position on international markets by exporting all of our output under the COOPEX licence, durably improving our members’ productivity and stepping up our reforestation work in the face of climate change, in line with international standards.
